Movement as medicine: Empowering the care workforce.
Physical activity supports dignity, independence and wellbeing in later life. Our Care Activator Coach apprenticeship trains staff to lead safe, inclusive sessions that improve quality of life in care settings.

This programme builds confident staff who use movement as a powerful tool for care.
Level 2 Care Activator Coach
Builds the confidence and competence of care staff to lead safe, person-centred physical and wellbeing activities in residential, nursing and community settings.
Level 2 Community Activator Coach - Swim Pathway
Supports low-impact water-based mobility and hydrotherapy sessions. This is ideal for care homes engaging with our innovative pop-up pool initiative.

Designing meaningful, inclusive activities for older adults
Understanding and removing barriers to participation
Ensuring safety through risk management and safeguarding
Using digital tools and data responsibly in care environments
Recording participation, tracking progress and managing information in line with data protection standards.
Supporting behaviour and communication in dementia care
Using de-escalation techniques and positive interaction to build trust and engagement.
Partnership working with families and community partners
Collaborating to create consistent, enriched care through shared goals and trust
Embedding physical activity into care culture
