Discover the difference Bikeability is making for children and schools across Erdington and Sutton Coldfield in our Bikeability Impact Report 2025/26.
From improving heart health, boosting fitness and relieving stress to enhancing navigational skills and helping the planet, there are so many benefits of bike riding. But we know cycling doesn’t come without challenge and risk.
Our Bikeability programmes develop cycling skills and confidence in children from a young age, helping them to stay safe and develop a lifelong passion for cycling.
Balance Bike Training
Give children the skills to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.
Our Balance Bike Training develops the confidence, spatial awareness and dynamic balance skills children need to become skilled cyclists.

Bikeability Level 1
Children’s route to bike control and mastery.
Bikeability Level 1 typically takes place in your school’s playground away from the road and traffic. Children learn to carry out a simple safety check, get on and off the bike without help, control the bike without wobbling, and master quick and effective braking.
